I finished the first Harry Potter book last night and have moved on to book 2. It was great, and I'm looking forward to all 6 more!!

Food for Thought

I was listening to the radio on the way to the gym this morning when I heard Montgomery Gentry singing the song 'Lucky Man'. In this song they sing "Last Sunday when my Bengals lost, Lord it put me in a bad mood". This got me thinking and laughing how any or us who have a sports team we follow faithfully do exactly what he did. He sang about 'my Bengals'....MY BENGALS?? Are they really his?? I know I do this, I often refer to 'my Broncs' and honestly believe they are mine. They are my team. I follow them every week and they become part of our family on Sunday's. But are they really mine?? I'm not the owner, I don't even live in Denver where I can claim they are mine. So, are they really mine??

Few and far between

I know my blogs have been few and far between, but for some reason I have lost my drive and am trying to get it back. Recent events in my life have drained me and diverted my attention from the joy of writing about my days to the the busy-ness of life. I am trying to get it back, but until then I will do my best to keep you updated on any quirky and interesting things that happen with me.

Bandwagon??

Well, in case you didn't notice...I am now reading a different book...I have decided to see what the hype is about Harry Potter. So, while I was up at my Grandma's cabin I started the first Harry Potter book. It's not too bad, I'm excited to get past book 3, which is where I hear you need to be to really get into it. Well, here's to reading....

I'm Back!!

Hey everyone!! It has been a bit of time, but I have been out of town...again. The family and I went up to my Grandma's cabin in Colorado for the last trip of the summer. It was such a great relaxing time up there, I really wasn't wanting to come back home...but I did. It was great to get away to smell the mountain air, hear the rain on the roof and walk in the amazing wilderness that is home to so many great childhood memories. There isn't a memory of my summers from growing up that doesn't include my crazy, fun Grandma Porter and all of my Colorado cousins. Some of my best memories contain my Great Aunt Kay, and guess what?? She was there too!! They are all such great people!!

While we were there we did the usual card playing, hiking, picture taking and eating. Jeremy and I took our engagement photos up there which turned out wonderful...I'll have to post some later on. The dogs enjoyed running about and not having a fence to keep them in. All of the cousins were there, which was great being able to see them all at the same time. Jeremy and I even got to drive to town to have Chipotle. Now, what could be better than a trip to Grandma's cabin and Chipotle??
