Spring Reading Thing

Happy 1st day of Spring!!! I know I am so excited for the weather to get warmer, the flowers to start blooming and....I'm excited to do some reading!! Reading?? Yes, you read that right, READING!!!

I ran across the Spring Reading Thing 2009 and couldn't wait for March 20 to come around so I could join. So, the gist of what we do is create a list of books and/or a goal for reading this Spring. Then, come the first of summer (June 20) and share about our goal and reading experience. For me, what I want to read changes monthly, no....weekly, no....daily, yup daily. So, I will be updating you every once in awhile as to the changes or additions or completions in my list. I think this would be so much easier for me and my randomness.

So, my goals for this Spring Reading Thing (as of this week) is:

  • Finish the Twilight Series - I still have book 3 and 4 to go
  • Participate in Books Blogs Brownies
  • Finish Reading What's on my Nightstand
  • Read and do a review for Rachel's Tears
  • Get caught up on daily Bible readings
  • Finish 1 more book with Jeremy
  • Read 2 classics (part of my 101 challenge) For this, I'm thinking Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • Read 2 banned books (part of my 101 challenge) For this, I'm thinking Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain and Lord of the Flies by William Golding
  • Read my past National Geographic and Time
I think that's a pretty good start for a list for now, I don't want to overwhelm myself. Check back with me weekly (for now, I think it might be on Monday's) to see how I'm doing. If you want to join Katrina and her Spring Reading Thing 2009 check out Callapidder Days ( I love that blog name!!)

Happy Reading!!

I love your list! I still have to finish the Twilight series, too. Guess I'd better add those - I'd forgotten! (see, my list changes moment by moment, too!)

I still haven't started the Twilight series, but I have the first one on my shelf and I know I'll get to it eventually. I read Lord of the Flies in high school and I'd really like to revisit it someday. Thanks so much for being part of Spring Reading Thing '09!
